Transit Projects

The Capital Programs and Construction Division works closely with our contractors on various projects throughout the city to both enhance the safety and reliability of our transit system and to improve the transit system for future generations of San Francisans. Bicycle Projects

The Bicycle Program has successfully implemented many projects, including striping over 40 miles of bicycle lanes, creating 23 miles of bicycle paths, posting 82 miles of signed bicycle routes, and painting 1250 shared lane markings, or “sharrows.” For a brief description of each project, see the Bike Projects & Planning page.

Parking Projects
