American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009

On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the landmark American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  Of this amount, the SFMTA is to receive an initial $67 million which is being directed to “shovel-ready” capital projects designed to rehabilitate, update and renew transit vehicles, facilities and vital systems, as well as to improve customer convenience features.

Getting information about a bid

There is additional information on doing business with the City and County of San Francisco on the SFGov Office of Contract Administration (OCA) Web site, including a database of bids and contracts.

RSS iconThere is an RSS feed of SFMTA contracts in the OCA database.

There is also a page of Contract Opportunities on the Controllers Office Web site. SFMTA contracts are not necessarily shown as such.

If you want to know the results of a bid, you need to contact the Muni division which conducted the bidding process for that particular bid.

If the results of a bid need to be approved by the SFMTA Board, that will appear on our Web site as a calendar item of the SFMTA Board's agenda for a particular meeting. You can use our search engine to try to find that calendar item. However, there may be a delay between the time the bid meeting is held and the time the bid contract becomes a calendar item. There may be a delay of up to 4 days after an item is posted on our Web site as a calendar item and the time it can be found by our search engine, as the search engine is updated only twice a week.
