Join us at an open house to learn about proposed improvements to the 30 Stockton on Chestnut Street!

March 4, 2015 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fort Mason Center, Room C260

Muni is working on multiple fronts to make getting around San Francisco safer and more reliable. As part of this effort, we’re upgrading transit corridors throughout the city, including the 30 Stockton on Chestnut Street. Proposed improvements are designed to reduce transit travel time by 40-50% along Chestnut Street.

Proposed changes will:
  • Establish an AM peak inbound transit-only lane to minimize delays
  • Improve pedestrian safety at intersections with pedestrian sidewalk extensions and traffic signals
  • Improve route reliability by consolidating transit stop locations

Also at the open house we'll share more information on the proposed bike lanes on Columbus Street between Washington and Broadway streets. If you attended our open house in January, you know we're planning pedestrian safety and transit improvements along other portions of the 30 Stockton route, including North Point, Van Ness, Stockton and Columbus. These enhancements will complement proposed improvements on Chestnut Street, making for a more frequent and reliable trip accross town, and will make bicycling safer on a portion of Columbus Ave.
